Expertise: Human talent
After spending her senior year in Paris studying
French language, art and history, then completing her
undergraduate studies in Language and Education at
Ithaca College in upstate New York, Dianne continued her
education and studied law and accounting at Loyola
University in Chicago. Her career
in Human Resources began with a number of progressively
responsible assignments, working for companies in
Chicago, Portland and Northern California. Most
recently, she served as Vice President of Human
Resources for Titan Corporation in San Diego, a role she
held for 10 years.
When Dianne joined Broadcom in 2004, she knew she was
joining a company with lots of energy and an impressive
talent pool, but still had the feeling of a start-up.
"It's still very much in that mode, and I say that
in a very good way," says Dianne. "To be a
growing company that is committed to maintaining as much
of that energy and flexibility and latitude that you get
in a start-up is pretty incredible."
For Dianne, the depth and breadth of talent at
Broadcom is the most compelling feature of the company.
"It is indeed remarkable," she says.
"When you get here and you start to work with
people here, it's pretty apparent that it's an
exceptional pool of talent across the
organization."
Dianne has always worked with people who are
passionate and committed, but the environment at
Broadcom is special. "It's at a different level
here," says Dianne. "We believe we can do
anything - people here truly believe that. Our engineers
are doing the impossible. There's a passion that's beyond
what I've seen before. That's part of the
magic." |
